Like anything else, administering and teaching your child to swallow oral medications are behaviors that can be learned.

This workshop will discuss how to use principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to teach children to swallow oral medications.

We will talk about effective procedures to teach successful tablet and capsule swallowing, as well as cough syrup. Teaching these skills can be important in order to make sure your child is receiving all his/her nutritional needs to keep him/her healthy. We will also go over environmental variables that can be changed to facilitate successful pill swallowing.
